Bilingual family of 4 living in Gatineau (Gatineau Sector) seeking an in-home caregiver for 2 days per week (Monday and Friday) with the possibility of additional days as well as someone available to work occasionally (could be the same person) to care for our 9-year-old daughter who was born with a rare medical condition and has related medical needs. Our little girl has a significant global developmental delay. Although she is 9, she is small in stature and is developmentally less than 6 months of age. She requires a ventilator to help support her breathing as she doesn’t produce enough energy to breath on her own and is fed via a gtube inserted into her belly. She is absolutely adorable and people who meet her can’t help falling in love with her at first sight.
We are looking for someone to care for our daughter in our home 3 days a week from 8:30-4:30 (flexible). You would be responsible for her feeds, medication/vitamins/supplements, bathing, diaper changes and trach care (including suctioning of secretions). She enjoys cuddles, music, lights, and spending time outdoors and going for walks in her stroller. Did I mention cuddles?!? We provide all the training you need.
Since COVID, I have been working from home and therefore I am around for support especially as you get to know her and learn her routine.
We are also looking for someone on an occasional basis (evenings/weekends/overnights).
Please note that we have a medium-sized dog and a cat.
